  • Legislative Representation in Lansing, Michigan and Washington, D.C..  MAPA’s members are represented at the national level through our affiliation with the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) and the Alliance of State Automotive Aftermarket Associations (ASAAA).  In Lansing, MAPA utilizes the Michigan Information & Research Service Inc. (MIRS) to monitor legislative and regulatory proposals that affect your business and the industry.

  • Group Health Insurance.  MAPA’s sponsored group health insurance plan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan, offers their Flexible Blue plans to members who are looking for more affordable health plans combined with a flexible approach to customizing employee benefits.  Members have access to these high deductible plans compatible with IRS approved Health Savings Accounts. Coupled with an HSA, these Flexible Blue plans feature an investment account employees can use tax-free for medical care. Money in the health savings account accumulates with tax-free interest until retirement when it can be withdrawn for any purpose, subject to normal income taxes.  Employers are attracted to these plans because of the lower premiums charged and their incentives to control costs.  Many options available.

  • Workers’ Compensation and Business Insurance.  MAPA endorses Frankenmuth Insurance, a Michigan company, for member’s property and casualty, workers’ compensation and business auto needs.  The MAPA program offers a 10% association discount to qualified members on most coverages in addition to excellent service and claims processing.

  • Discounted Office Products.  MAPA has partnered with DBI Office Products, a locally owned Michigan business, to help members save money on office products used everyday.

  • Information and News.  MAPA’s NewsSheet is your source for information on the Association and your industry.  Every effort is made to produce a newsletter that provides useful, up-to-date information.

  • Training - Retail Sales & Management.  MAPA and The Eddy Kay Group are excited to offer an exclusive MAPA member beneift - Retail Sales and Management Training.  MAPA has purchased the 'TOOLBOX' Training Program for its members ... there is no cost to members for this program.  Membership, indeed, has its privileges.

  • Scholarships.  The MAPA Educational Development Scholarship Fund offers financial aid for qualified students pursuing undergraduate education. Allied with the Capital Region Community Foundation to enable MAPA’s charitable pursuits. In addition, MAPA collaborates with the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) on industry scholarships and offers an annual MAPA Northwood University scholarship.
