Our Mission Statement – The Michigan Automotive Parts Association is a non-profit state trade association representing automotive parts stores, service dealers, warehouse distributors, manufacturers, remanufacturers, and associates throughout Michigan. Our mission is to provide members with business and educational information relative to the sale of automotive replacement parts, to promote the automotive aftermarket industry, to provide legislative and regulatory advocacy and to enable group purchasing of member service programs. Founded in 1953 by three independent Michigan jobbers (Robert P. Egly, Reliable Motor Supply, Battle Creek, MI, Justin H. Morrison, Charlotte Auto Parts, Charlotte, MI and Don F. Phillips, Paul Automotive, Lansing, MI), MAPA today represents nearly 400 automotive aftermarket businesses in Michigan.
